Property:
Pine Tar is a natural product obtained by the destructive distillation of pine wood or stump. It is a deep brown viscous liquid with pine odor. Pine Tar contains various kinds of resins, terpenes and fatty acids. It is soluble in alcohol, acetone, ether, chloroform, volatile oil, sodium hydroxide solutions, etc. It is insoluble in water.
